Project Overview
New build classroom block, extension of hall and refurbishment of existing facilities
Client: Halsall Construction
Duration: June 2015 – February 2016
This project was a mixture of new build and refurbishment works. The school is situated in the centre of Warminster and was originally built in 1882.
The roofing works included construction of a lean-to pitched roof, plywood decking, installation of Fakro rooflights and PVC fascia boards.
The external works included double counter-battening to external walls of a timber framed building and the installation of hit and miss vertical timber boarding. We formed an external classroom by fixing timbers between metal posts and cladding with timber hit and miss vertical boarding and composite plastic colourful panelling.
Internal works included fitting a staircase, construction of timber studwork walls, fixing of window boards, fixing of door sets, architraves and skirting boards, a variety of ironmongery and fixtures and fittings, installation of IPS wall panelling and cubicles.
