Traditional new build of 14 luxury apartments

Duration: April 2013 – December 2013
External works consisted of fitting of sliding sash window frames and construction of a traditional cut timber roof. The sections were made up of a Mansard, low pitched, flat roof and a valley running along the parapet wall. All timber was cut between supporting steel work and cladded in plywood. Other external works included fitting of velux windows and GRP chimneys and installation of GRP dormer windows.
Internal works – first fixing which included the installation of timber staircases, counter battening to the underside of the roof timbers, timber studwork, door linings, window boards, timber pattresses for radiators and sanitary ware, boxing in to soil vent pipes and steels within the roof construction.
Second fix – traditional hanging of doors, fixing of doorstops, architraves, skirting boards, low level sanitary ware boxings, timber balustrading to timber and also concrete stairs in the communal areas, fixing of pig’s ear handrails, internal and external stair strings.
Final fix- internal door handles, locks, latches, overhead door closers, floor doorstops, fire door signs, flush bolts.
