Work begins on a major refurbishment project in Bristol

Complete Carpentry Contractors has been awarded a major refurbishment contract for Beard Bristol. The 45 week carpentry programme kicked off in mid-February on three grade II listed Georgian townhouses in Berkeley Square, Bristol. Built in 1787 by Thomas and William Paty, the townhouses are now owned by the University of Bristol and will be used as a training centre for the University of Bristol Law School. The new facilities will include new tutor and seminar rooms, research suites, a state-of-the-art moot court room and a range of office facilities.

It’s our first project for Beard Bristol, who have recently opened an office in the city. We’ve worked for Beard Swindon on over forty projects and have a built a great relationship with them over the years so it’s exciting to embark on a project with the new team in Bristol.

The carpentry works are being headed up by Site-Supervisor Daniel Rinsche and include roof works, strengthening of existing floor joists, first, second and final fixes, IPS panelling and cubicle installation and kitchen fitting. The project will retain the traditional features of the buildings whilst creating an innovative, contemporary space.
